This weekend VBS Racing were at Tierp Arena attending the Night of Fire, Urban wanted to do some testing and to try to get in to the 5-second club, and Linda to test some and try to get down the track again, after the incident in Hockenheim.
A bit short on people this weekend but we managed to do all runs on friday with both cars. We arrived on Thursday afternoon (We means: Urban, David, Robban, Linda & Arnfinn, and little Patman). Jeanett helped us out as much as she could but was also helping out another team this weekend. The weather was lovely the whole weekend, amazing this late in the year. A weekend we were afraid it was going to snow.
With hard work both cars did all three af the qualification runs on Friday, with some great help from Conny whos in Ola Dahlblom's team so he had a quite busy friday with backing up three cars and strapping Linda in the Camaro. Urban did 6.508 in the first round, then 6.151 and ended up with a new personal best in the last qualifying run 6.04. He qualifyed as number two after Mickael Lindahl with 6.03. Linda hit shake instantly from the start line the first round , but got down the track with some pedaling on a 6.73sec run in the Q2, the third round she hit the shake again, but managed to qualify as number 16.

The 5.8-man!!
I think everybody was quite happy when Kalle and Petter turned up from Jimmy Ålunds team to help us out, and later on the evening our crew member Tomas arrived to. Thank you so much guys!!!
Saturday morning, lovely weater and really good air, and both cars ready to go down the track fast. Urban out first against Pierre Rydberg. And Urban did a 5.8585 sec run 389.05km/h, diqualified from the race but who cares after that run!!! This is why we got there!!! 0.9494 at the 60ft.
Next one out, Linda up against Micke Lindahl, Linda with a better reaction time, but hits the shake or should we call it jumping around, tried to go off and on again, hitting next gear but for no better. Micke also hit the shake but managed to calm the car down and went down the track on a 7 second getting the win.

Back in the pits, Urban and the team is getting the car ready to do it again, and while watching the data from the camaro, it looked like one of the shockers were broke so Kalle and Petter changed them, so Linda could do a test run later on. The Camaro didn't get ready for the next test session so we all went up into the pairing lanes with Urban. Urban hit the shake at the top of first gear when trying to repeat the 5.85, We were ready in the pairing lanes for the last session when it was a oil down and everything was cancelled, so we don't know how the camaro now works with new shockers on but hey, Urban have the fastest doorslammer in Europe and the winter is welcome, we are ready for next year!!!!
A big thank you to the whole team, friends and families who has supported us and all you fans cheering for us around Europe, we will be back and go fast.
Even though the season is done, we will not stop bloging, we will update you as soon as there is news and happenings, and you might get some spy pictures during the winter, so stay tuned.
Best regards VBS Racing
